Woo woo woo!!

Mike’s counts started to rise today!!  The WBC count went from <0.1 to 0.3, and the Neutrophil Count went from 0 to 200.  It needs to be 500 before he is no longer neutropenic (and we can take off the masks).  They expect it to reach 500 tomorrow or Thursday.

The big news is that we’ve started talk about a release date.  Upon entering the room this morning on rounds, Dr. Lazarus said “It’s look like we’re gonna get you outta here on Friday. Your counts are recovering as we expected.”

We’re excited about this news!

He has eaten some cereal bars, buttered noodles, 2 bites of lemon pie, and 4 gummy worms today.  At this point, meat grosses him out.
