Before we left his room last night, Mike noticed that he started feeling different/better.  He did very well overnight, with the help of a couple of Ambien.  Just now, he had some toast, orange jello, and a cereal bar.

Dr. Lazarus was in this morning and remains pleased with the direction his counts are trending. WBC<0.1 still, but that is not an indication of how good he is feeling!  They expect it to spike up around Monday or Tuesday.

Mike remains in special favor with “Lazzy” because Lazzy is Steeler-obsessed.  As many of you know, Mike grew up closer to Pittsburgh than to Cleveland.  And I (Michelle) am quick to remind him that I went to Miami at the same time as Ben Roethlisberger. And although the Roses used to be fans of the Browns because of Jimmy Brown, it’s better for his long-term health to root for the Steelers.
